Installation

Install Vulgr on macOS, Windows or Linux and get your agents ready.

Download the app

Get the package for your system from the latest release:

SystemPackage
macOS (Apple Silicon / Intel).dmg
Windows (x64).exe (NSIS installer)
Linux (x64).AppImage

On macOS, open the DMG and drag Vulgr into Applications.

Vulgr DMG installer window
macOS install — drag Vulgr into Applications.

Install with npm

npm install -g vulgr@beta

Then start the desktop app with the vulgr command.

Opening an unsigned build

macOS

  1. Open the DMG and drag Vulgr into Applications.
  2. Open Vulgr once. macOS will block it because it can’t verify the developer.
  3. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Vulgr.

Or clear the quarantine flag from the terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Vulgr.app

Windows

  1. Run Vulgr-Setup-*.exe.
  2. When SmartScreen says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.

Linux

Make the AppImage executable, then run it:

chmod +x Vulgr-*.AppImage
./Vulgr-*.AppImage

Get your agents ready

Vulgr runs each agent’s own command-line tool. Install and sign in to the agents you want on your crew first (Claude Code, Codex CLI, AGY / Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Cursor).

Run the health check to verify your setup:
