Configuration and security

Where and how settings, keys and project memory are stored.

Config file

configManager.ts
  • User settings live in the OS app-data folder (app.getPath('userData')/config.json) with 0600 permissions.
  • Sensitive API keys (openRouterApiKey) are encrypted with Electron safeStorage (enc:v1:...) before they’re written — macOS Keychain, Windows DPAPI, Linux Secret Service.
  • Per-project overrides are supported: pick a different Claude model or a different defaultVerifyCmd for each project folder.

Project memory and skills

memoryStore.ts and sharedSkills.ts

  • Project rules and architectural facts are added to every agent call automatically under a [Workspace Memory] heading.
  • The .ai-bridge/ and .worktrees/ folders are hidden locally through .git/info/exclude, without touching your project’s .gitignore (excludeFromGit).

Languages

The interface and agent status messages come from multilingual tables, including English and Turkish (ui/src/i18n/); missing translation keys are caught by TypeScript at build time.
