Architecture

How the Electron main process, the core engine and the React UI fit together.

Vulgr has three main layers; the UI talks to the main process through a secure IPC bridge.

Desktop main process

electron/ — window management, node-pty terminal processes (ptyManager.ts), the Claude JSON stream (claudeChatManager.ts), GitHub OAuth Device Flow sign-in (githubAuth.ts) and auto-updates (updater.ts).

Core orchestration engine

src/ — shared by the desktop app and the orchestrate CLI: agent adapters, Agent Swarm (agentMesh.ts), the Orchestrator (orchestra.ts), the ContextOptimizer (contextOptimizer.ts) and the Git worktree manager (worktreeManager.ts).

User interface

ui/ — built with React 19, Tailwind CSS v4 and WebGL-accelerated @xterm/xterm; multilingual, with light and dark themes (App.tsx).

Secure IPC bridge

The UI reaches the main process only through window.warpApi (preload.ts), exposed with contextBridge.
